The Version 2.0.0 of the MusicScope and the Version 1.1.7 of the AudioRepair offers the following changes:

MusicScope:

  • Updated and much more precise frequency range estimation algorithm to analyze whether high resolution audio files really contain frequency components beyond 20 kHz.
The maximum frequency that still represents audio content is indicated by a red vertical line within the spectrogram.
The COF switch (on the left side of the spectrogram) must be switched on to make use of this function.
  • The new bit depth analyzer checks for the effective bit depth of 24 bit audio files. The analyzer is able to identify bits that just contain noise to estimate the number of effective bits used for the audio content.
The measurement result is displayed in the “Bit Monitor” where the red marked bits just contain noise.
The COF switch (on the left side of the spectrogram) must be switched on to make use of this function.
Please keep in mind that the bit depth analyzer just works for 24 bit audio files.

AudioRepair:

  • The Multi-Threading Option offers now the selection of the maximum number of parallel audio transcoding processes, depending on the number of available physical and logical CPU cores.
